One of the prominent differences from traditional boardroom design is that many companies require boardrooms to be multifunctional and able to fulfil differing communication requirements.

 

One method of building versatility into a space for meetings is by using modular furniture, such as a long boardroom table that can be split up into smaller sections. This allows the room to be repurposed for different functions, such as using the separated table sections for group workshops or removing them altogether to configure the room for a theatre-style seating arrangement.

 

A well-designed boardroom also needs to take into consideration the rise of agile and hybrid working, which could involve including features such a video conferencing technology and digital room booking systems to assist with time management and space organisation.
